If it takes about 10,000 hours to master something, do you really have time to waste doubting yourself?
Word magic. If you say a word, it leaps out and becomes the truth. I love you. I believe it. I believe I am lovable. How can something as fragile as a word build a whole world.
I must admit this is really worth a try. if you stop eating 12-16 hours before you want to be awake, you will, the theory goes, start a new sleep cycle. So, for me to start waking up at 6 am, I have to have dinner by 6. Hmmmmm…..
Don’t be afraid to be a fool. Remember, you cannot be both young and wise. Young people who pretend to be wise to the ways of the world are mostly just cynics. Cynicism masquerades as wisdom, but it is the farthest thing from it. Because cynics don’t learn anything. Because cynicism is a self-imposed blindness, a rejection of the world because we are afraid it will hurt us or disappoint us. Cynics always say no. But saying yes begins things. Saying yes is how things grow. Saying yes leads to knowledge. “Yes” is for young people. So for as long as you have the strength to, say yes.
